Terms and Conditions for Private Voice Lessons
Effective Date: January 7, 2026
These Terms and Conditions outline the expectations, policies, and agreements for students and parents/guardians participating in private voice lessons with Bell Voice Studios. By enrolling in lessons, the student and parent/guardian agree to the following terms.
1. Enrollment and Eligibility
Voice lessons are available to students who demonstrate an interest in learning and practicing vocal technique and performance. Because many students are minors, enrollment must be completed by a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these terms on the student’s behalf.
2. Lesson Scheduling
Lessons are scheduled in advance at a mutually agreed upon weekly time. Consistent weekly attendance is encouraged to support steady progress.
Changes to scheduled lesson times may be made at the instructor’s discretion and based on availability.
3. Lesson Length
Each student is assigned a specific lesson duration (30 minutes). Lessons begin and end at the scheduled time.
To maintain fairness and respect the schedules of all students, lessons will end at the designated time even if a student arrives late.
4. Late Arrival Policy
Students should arrive on time for their scheduled lesson.
Students who arrive more than 5 minutes late may not be permitted to participate in the lesson that day, as late arrivals may disrupt other scheduled lessons.
Missed lessons due to late arrival are not refundable, and the full lesson fee remains due.
5. Waiting Room Expectations
Students should arrive quietly shortly before or at their scheduled lesson time so as not to interrupt another student’s lesson.
Parents or guardians are welcome to remain in the designated waiting area during the lesson if they prefer. Water will be available in the waiting area for students and parents.
Students and guests are expected to behave respectfully while in the instructor’s home.
6. Payment Terms
Lesson fees must be paid according to the payment schedule communicated at enrollment (for example: weekly, monthly, or per lesson).
Accepted payment methods may include [cash, check, digital payment, etc.].
Failure to make timely payments may result in suspension or cancellation of lessons until the account is brought current.
7. Missed Lessons and Cancellations
If a student cannot attend a scheduled lesson, parents or guardians should notify the instructor as soon as possible.
Make-up lessons may be offered at the instructor’s discretion and subject to availability, but they are not guaranteed.
Lessons missed without notice or due to late arrival are not refundable.
8. Student Conduct
Students are expected to demonstrate respectful behavior toward the instructor, other students, and the instructor’s home.
Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behavior may result in the termination of lessons without refund.
9. Health and Illness
Students who are feeling unwell, particularly with symptoms such as fever, persistent coughing, or other contagious illness, should remain home and notify the instructor.
This helps maintain a healthy environment for all students.
10. Recording and Safety
All lessons may be audio and/or video recorded for safety purposes, as described in the studio’s Privacy Policy.
Recordings are maintained securely and are not shared publicly without written parental consent.
11. Liability
While reasonable care is taken to provide a safe learning environment, participation in voice lessons is voluntary. Parents or guardians acknowledge that the instructor is not liable for injuries, accidents, or losses that may occur while attending lessons, except in cases of proven negligence.
12. Termination of Lessons
Either the instructor or the parent/guardian may discontinue lessons with reasonable notice.
The instructor reserves the right to terminate lessons if policies are repeatedly violated, payments are not made, or behavior is inappropriate.
13. Policy Agreement
By enrolling in lessons, the parent or legal guardian confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions as well as the studio’s Privacy Policy.
